Recent B2B activity

Hosted Neal Vitale, CEO and president of 1105 Media, who did an excellent two-day stint at Medill as the Geyer-McAllister Top Manager. He spoke with students in the magazine and community innovation projects, with IMC students (who were especially interested in analytics), with undergraduates interested in magazines, and with both the Medill-Kellogg McCormick scholars and Kellogg’s Media and Entertainment club. He also addressed a group composed largely of faculty interested in including B2B in their curricula.

I attended American Business Media’s Executive Forum in Chicago the week before. It was a good, digital-focused, event. Rich Gordon of Medill did well with a wrap-up presentation and – as they did at the American Magazine Conference – Medill students “worked the door” in exchange for being able to sit in on the presentations.
